Its great to read about everyone and what they are doing today. I currently live in The Woodlands Texas. I spend most of my time with my so Chad who is 12. He is swimsfor The Woodland Swim Team which is a USA club team and is currently one of the top 10ranked 12 year old swimmers in the country. I have two daughters Tiffany 26 and Summer 22. Teri, Thanks for tracking me down. Wish I had made it. Great website. Thanks, again. History... one husband, three kids and one wonderful granddaughter. I own a wind energy development company based in Big Spring with work all over the US. Still do a lot of photography and cooking. No more long hair. Still short. Everything else is keeping up with the times okay. It was great to see the photos of everyone. Kathy

I am so glad I have had the chance to reconnect with many old friends and gotten to know some interesting people for the first time. I am already looking forward to the next reunion! Thanks again to everyone who helped make our reunion possible!

I had such a wonderful time at the reunion, I'm ready to pack up the whole family and move from "out in the sticks" back home to Lubbock!! Thank you so much to all of the committee members for their hard work to make sure each and every person had an enjoyable time and felt included in all of the activities. My family enjoyed their visit to Lubbock --besides having a great time at the reunion,we got to eat at Taco Villa twice (we don't have one up here in north Texas!), we saw Bourne Ultimatum at the theater (sat on the front row and went cross-eyed!), and my son got to go to the ZZ Top concert -- life doesn't get any better than this! We're looking forward to 2015 for Coronado's 50th anniversary!

I had my doubts about attending the reunion. The website prompted me to pull out my yearbook. Realizing that I didn't know that many people(my wife says I am an intravert)or had forgotten about. It occured to me whose fault is it that I didn't know that many people?...It was mine. Now that I have a second chance to know the 1977 graduates of CHS, for the people I didn't know and that don't remember me, lets not be strangers. It was heart warming to reconnect with my old friends. My sympathies go out to to the classmates family & friends who are are no longer with us, their spirits will live on in our hearts forever. The Saturday morning tour of Coronado with my twin girls was bittersweet. I realized the 3 short years in high school was only a prelude to adulthood. I remembered people, events, situtations & things that I saw everyday and how I miss that after 30 years. It was memorable walking the halls again after 30 years. It occurred to me that high school days are gone forever and all of us have moved on. If you have children & grandchildren they are our biggest priority in our life now. Some of our high school dreams have come true, some have changed as we have changed and as adults we realize that some dreams will never come true. The halls of CHS have led to us traveling roads across this great nation & even around the world to see where the road ahead leads you, you have to look where you have been. A special thanks to Leslie for finding me and the reunion committee for all their time & effort to make the reunion possible. If you want to say hello, or introduce yourself, feel free to email me.

Having not been back to a reunion ever, I really have been shocked and amazed at how many of you I remember now! This site is great at stimulating the old brain! I am very sad because most of the people I hung out with are either on the missing lists or on the memorial page. Thank you Teri Bryce for taking the time to track me down. I am in Colorado Springs and have been since 1982 after graduating Tech with a Park Administration degree. I work for the Parks department here but on the Recreation side of the house. I am the director of the Colo. Sprgs. Senior Center - doing recreation for older adults. Hey - it has kept me young for sure!!! I have been married for 25 years to Terry Putman. He was my boss on my last internship at Tech when I worked here in the Springs. He graduated Tech in Park Admin. also and just retired from the Colorado Springs Parks department and now sells playground equipment. His territory includes Lubbock. We are there often as my brother, (Kerry,CHS '81)and my parents all still live there. We have 2 kids - Brandon (22) just graduated from CSU with a degree in Turfgrass management and now lives in York, PA where he is in charge of the baseball field for the minor league York Revolutions. Our daughter is a sophomore at CSU and majoring in Recreation! The apples don't fall far from the tree! Congratulations on 30years and the committee that have made it all possible. Please take me off the missing list now!!

Hello class of 77.... the first class of the 3rd century. I am sorry I will not be able to be at the festivities but was very glad to find out about ththis website and reconnect with some old friends. My wife, Stacey, and I live in Tulsa now, have been married for 23 years and have 2 daughters- Liesl 21 and Breton 20. Liesl is married and living in OKC and Breton will be a junior at Missouri Stae in Springfield where she plays on a basketball scholarship (she was happy to get some of my height at 6'3" but not to happy to have my big feet... she wears a size 13 mens basketball shoe...lol) I am in the banking business and my wife manages a Marriott hotel. My mom (who taught at Coronado) and dad still live in Lubbock so I get to town on occasion but things have sure changed. I know a good time will be had by all that attend and I wish I could be there to relive the "glory days".

Hi everyone! I'm so sorry I won't be able to be at the reunion. My youngest son is leaving for college this weekend, and I guess I should take him! A quick summary - I married Jay Freeman (76) in 1979, we have lived in Kentucky for about 20 years, where we own a gas utility company. I taught Algebra for 14 years, but have given that up. I do still coach the HS tennis team (watch out Coach Carter!). We have 2 sons, Jay 26, and Preston 18. Jay is a 4th year med student in NY, and Preston is starting college at SC. Have a great time - I'll be thinking of you! Sharla

I will not be able to attend the reunion due to the fact that I accepted the adventure of Co-Hosting the Lubbock Lions Club TV Auction, before knowing the reunion date. So I’ll be thinking about all the fun that you will be having. If you get bored between the Saturday picnic and the evening get together, check out Channel 11. Hopefully more people will find out about the reunion and join in the fun! Have a great time and safe travels…Blessing to each of you and your family. Debra

Thanks to the reunion committee for putting everything together - great job. When I think back to my senior year, I think about how I tried to stay under the radar, wanted to get out as soon as possible. I was dating my now husband of 29 years and the last place I wanted to be was in high school. I wanted to be out in the real world making my own way. Well now that I have done that I can't wait to see the my classmates, many of whom went to Rush, MacKenzie and then Coronado. We spent twelve years making memories, twelve years of trying to figure out who we were. I hope we all became what we wanted to be. As for me, my life is great. See you August 4th.

Thanks to the reunion committee for putting this together. I will not be able to come to the events, but the website is a great thing. It will let me try to re-connect with folks. Thanks again. Jeff

Wow, you guys sure know how to waste my morning. Thanks for the great website. The pictures are great, hope people add to them. I really appreciated the listing of those who had died. There were several on there I was unaware of. I am in Austin, where I have been more often than not since college. I'm still dabbling in politics. Hope to hear from many of you and see you all in August.

I am so looking forward to meeting at the reunion. The organizers of this web site and the whole reunion are a terrific group of people! I would like to thank you all now and will do so again at our gathering. I can't believe we have all gotten 30 years older, because it seems like such a short time has passed. Hope everyone can make it!!

I do hope to atend this class reunion. I can not believe 30 yrs. has passed. I was looking @ the ones who have passed on & Reagan Smith was my neighbor when we lived on west 18th St. back in the day. I don`t see any of the few minorities that also attended Coronado.

What a wonderful website! It's just getting started and I already spent the afternoon "lost in time" here on Memorial Day. I am saddened about, and sorely miss those who have passed on... and I eagerly await hugs and handshakes from those of you who will be at the reunion. Whether you can attend or not, just know that the texture of my life has always been richer because of each and every experience and memory we shared at Coronado.
